FTMO trading rules
- Drawdown
- The 2-Step Challenge sets a 10% max loss, plus a 5% max daily loss. For Futures, the max drawdown trails at the end of each day and locks at the starting balance once it gets there.
- Consistency requirement
- For Futures Evaluation, your best day may be no more than 40% of total profit on Growth, and no more than 50% on Pro. Sim-Funded futures accounts have no consistency rule.
- Trading on news
- Only Standard accounts face news restrictions, and only once you hold an FTMO Account; during the Evaluation Process, no news restrictions apply. Swing accounts face no news restrictions. The Futures page lists news trading as allowed.
- Limit on accounts
- Futures lets you run unlimited Evaluations, with up to three Sim-Funded Accounts at any time across Growth and Pro.
- Holding overnight and over the weekend
- Only Standard accounts on an FTMO Account face limits on holding positions overnight and over the weekend, not those in the Evaluation Process. Swing accounts don't carry those limits.
